I hesitate to mark this as a dupicate, but here's the related bug
report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calf/+bug/1769785
One workaround is to remove the calf-ladspa package, which should be
done anyhow as it's depricated.

should be fixed with the release of 0.90.1, which is in the queue.
