UdmSearch: Alias Question:
When I have these in my indexer.conf file, It isn't recognising stuff properly. It's a MASSIVE [8G] collection of PDF files, just in a boring directory structure: AddType application/pdf \.pdf$ Mime application/pdftext/plain "/opt/udmsearch/sbin/pdftotext $1 -" Mime text/x-pdf text/plain "/opt/udmsearch/sbin/pdftotext $1 -" Alias http://web-eu/dds/ file://opt/dds/ By "isn't recognising stuff properly", I mean that it doesn't invoke the parser, or add any of the words in the pdf files to the database for searching. Use "indexer -Nxxx" where xxx is a number of threads to start.

UdmSearch: upgrading from 3.0x to 3.1x
HI there... I read somewhere that if I'm upgrading an install from 3.0x to 3.1x versions that I have to reindex my entire system? Please tell me this isn't true... I have a 3.0x system with crc-multi db and want to upgrade to crc-multi as well on 3.1x version. I do not plan to use db cache mode at this time (already tried it and found it slower than crc-multi method).
