Aliro plans own paper

Barely three months after resigning unceremoniously from The Monitor where he was the news editor, firebrand journalist, Ogen Kevin Aliro is set to bounce back into the media industry. But this time, he will be running his own newspaper.

Snoops have it that the paper, whose name still eludes us, is set to hit the streets sometime this or next week.

We hear it will be a weekly at the start, but the plan is to turn it into a daily. For several weeks, Aliro has been planning for the paper from a tiny office near King Fahd Plaza on Bombo Road.

But recently he shifted to a posh and expensive premise at Ruth Towers, where the newspaper is to be based.
