[Ugnet] Museveni planning to use Baganda to install his son as next president
Re: [Ugnet] Museveni planning to use Baganda to install his son as next president Dear Eric Kashambuzi kashambuzie...@gmail.com , *Sorry Eric, all along I had mistaken you for a decent man. * Since your claims are linked to the World Bank or the IMF I thought you are*numerate *. But you are not. So I could place you neither in Economics nor in Statistics. I remember asking you whether you are a Systems Analyst, and I got no answer. Of course you are no Systems Analyst. *You are just a con-man masquerading and soiling a very decent name.* Every Kashambuzi we knew in Uganda were decent folks. Very smart too. They are Systems Analysts. *They are experts in the Hard Sciences, and are sure doing a stellar job running our Oil Fields. * Eric you should not be calling yourself “Kahambuzi”. I am afraid you must be embarrassing decent folks. You mentioned Waterford. Did you go to school at Waterford in Swaziland? It is a school for the children of Diplomats. They have super facilities but their graduates are idiots, whether they end up at Harvard or whatever. In your writings you show no understanding of even *the basics of Foundations of Probability, or the basics of Logical Connectives i.e. “Existential and Universal Quantifiers”. You utter demagogic statements like: “All Bishops in Uganda are Tutsi”. “All Uganda’s Ambassadors are Tutsi” . * *You would never speak like that if you had gone to Probability 101, let alone be a Professor. * *Indeed you don’t even seem to have a grasp of First Year Critical Reasoning, of the Humanities.* You go on to claim to have a Stanford Degree(s). *The PM of Jamaica also has a Stanford PhD. Hers hangs right there in State House in Jamaica. * I hope you are wise like her. Smart lady, she never spent thousands on her diploma*. It cost her twenty bucks*. Who cares which printer made it. She has more brains than those of you who lived on Stanford campus, hazing, drinking beer, Xeroxing essays for marks. Eric you always regale about the Slavic Romanovs, the relatives of the Tsars of Russia. For twenty years you drunk cocktails with them when you were in the basement at the WB. *You have called for all Tutsi to be put on a list that goes back 500 years. You continue to fan the fires of genocide. * There is a Maths Professor at the University of Toronto is also a prominent World Jurist. I always had him in mind to lock you up if ever a genocide ever occurred in Uganda. But since I found out you are just small fish, pest really, I would not ask my Prof to help me catch such. I will leave that to Ugandans i.e. our own Legal minds from Kings College Budo like Hon Betty Kamya, Gook, George Okello……… Hey, these our Lawyers have failed to give us an African Supreme Court. Don’t tell me they aren’t even dog catchers? There is a huge gap between the high end in Mengo and The Ssemuwembas that sing Ayi Ssabassajja Woligwa Nange Wendigwa It is The Ssemuwembas that get beaten in Kampala riots, it is Ssemuwembas that fail to get medical assessments, yet it is The Ssemuwembas that stand up today in Mengo to Boo Museveni. Ssabassajja Mutebi got real estate, Katikiro got a new truck and the rest of them got what we will never know. What serious Ugandans need to do is to fight very hard and bridge that gap. And if you want to build Uganda as some of us want to, you cannot build it when Buganda has such a gap between the Mengo establishment and its populace. I know many Ugandans have systems and ways and means to bridge this gap, but I am opining today that the only option we have that is workable, is taking over this kingdom and the government runs it. Governments have always ran parastatal bodies that have some independence with in themselves, Government printers in Entebbe is a classic example. You simply cannot leave this one man oligarchy to remain a swamp of ignorance in middle of the country. Directives of what to do can be made to Mengo and Mengo can even appoint a body of paid old people to study such decisions before they are implemented, but Mengo needs to be transformed to fit this century or it is going to be rendered useless and very fast. 20 years coronation is a high time For Ssabassajja Mutebi to file a report card.Geez ! Edward Pojim Thank you for that analysis it has bogged my mind but also I need you to add on one more, The west is actually out looped at this fire when it should have been all over it. I live on information and I feed on it, but I failed to understand yet the so disconnect about this fire and The west major. I am a member of a Kenyan forum Mwananchi and all postings about this fire have been moderated. Since I posted the fire into this airport this morning, there has not been a single posting about it in The Kenyan forum. [Ugnet] MASSIVE FIRE AT KENYA'S MAIN AIRPORT
Massive fire at Kenya's main airport Posted By: Associated Press·8/7/2013 1:42:00 AM A massive fire engulfed the arrivals hall at Kenya's main international airport early Wednesday, forcing East Africa's largest airport to close and the rerouting of all inbound flights. Dark black smoke that billowed skyward was visible across much of Nairobi as emergency teams battled the blaze. Stranded passengers stood on sidewalks outside the airport with their luggage in hand. The Kenya Airports Authority said the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has been closed until further notice so that emergency teams can battle the fire. Associated Press reporters at the scene said the fire had gutted the international arrivals hall, where passengers pass through immigration and retrieve their luggage. As in many countries in East Africa, public sector services like police and fire units are hobbled by small budgets and outdated or no equipment. A British passenger, Martyn Collbeck, said he was surprised that the airport wasn't shut down sooner so that emergency vehicles could respond. ``When I arrived there were one or two fire engines parked outside the international arrivals. It spread very fast,'' said Collbeck, who had been scheduled to fly back to London on an early morning KLM flight. There were a couple of explosions which I think were a couple of gas canisters.'' But, he added: ``I would have expected more fire engines to respond faster.'' The Nairobi airport is the busiest airport in East Africa, and its closure is likely to affect flights throughout the region. [Ugnet] GOD I AM SO TIRED OF POSTING THESE REPORTS ON AFRICA Geez !!!!!!!!!!
First responders to Kenya airport fire looted bank, ATM, electronics http://www.thecanadianpress.com/ Description: The Canadian PressBy Jason Straziuso And Tom Odula, The Associated Press | The Canadian Press 2 hours 3 minutes ago NAIROBI, Kenya - Officials in Kenya investigating the massive airport fire that gutted the arrival hall at Nairobi's main airport said Thursday that first responders looted electronics, a bank and an ATM during and after the blaze. The officials said first responders stole electronics and money from an ATM. Another official said that police guarding the site overnight attempted to a take a safe from a bank in the burned-out arrivals hall, which also houses several foreign currency exchange shops. All four officials who described the alleged looting are close to the investigation. They insisted on anonymity because they weren't authorized to share the information before the investigation is complete. The fire-fighting response to Wednesday's inferno was criticized as slow and inadequate, but the officials could not definitely say the looting was carried out by firefighters. One official said there was now behind-the-scenes finger pointing taking place between the police, fire department and army. Another official said specialized police units had attempted to steal the safe overnight. The criminal investigations policeman for the airport, Joseph Ngisa, said he hasn't received formal complaints of theft and that police are waiting for affected institutions to report what they lost in the fire. All public servants in Kenya, including police, firefighters and soldiers, are poorly paid and frequently accused of corruption. Police officers who guard the entrance to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport are well known in Nairobi for demanding bribes from taxi drivers and other vehicles with Kenyan drivers. International flights, meanwhile, resumed Thursday as officials improvised immigration and luggage routines. Kenyan officials, assisted by members of the FBI, investigated the cause of the fire. One of the security officials who spoke to AP said the investigation had ruled out terrorism and was now trying to determine if the fire was intentional or accidental. Michael Kamau, the cabinet secretary for transport and infrastructure, said Kenyan officials were receiving assistance from international agencies because we intend to carry out a full investigation on what happened yesterday. One of the officials who spoke to AP confirmed that members of the FBI were assisting. Kamau said the design of the airport constructed in the mid-1970s made it challenging for firefighters to access certain areas with water hoses. Kamau said he was satisfied by the response of firefighters from private companies but did not mention the airport firefighters, who responded slowly and whose equipment wasn't fully functioning. Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is East Africa's largest aviation hub, and the fire disrupted air travel across the continent as the airport cancelled all international flights Wednesday. Many inbound flights were diverted to Tanzania and the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa. Domestic flights were being operated from the airport's cargo terminal. Firefighters were desperately short of equipment Wednesday. The airport has fire trucks but some were not filled with water and personnel couldn't be found to drive others. At one point while battling the blaze men in government uniforms lined up to pass buckets of water to fight the fire. No serious injuries were reported. President Barack Obama called Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to offer U.S. support. The fire broke out on the 15th anniversary of U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 224 people in total, mostly Kenyans, but also a dozen Americans. Nairobi is the capital of East Africa's largest economy, but public-sector services such as police and fire departments are hobbled by small budgets, corrupt money managers and outdated equipment or an absence of equipment.
