The public mailing lists have now been moved over to Mythic Beasts,

WAIT. I think you're not telling the truth. If it was really on Mythic Beasts it would be
v6 only. Yes, v6 only. I still see v4 After all, what "operator" doesn't have
v6 on their mail server? BTW: I don't want to start an argy-bargy about this; but ...
it's 2016!

We had a very long internal discussion about if we could host mailman on
an IPv6 only VM using our fallback MXes to relay the v4 only inbound
mail.

Eventually we decided that it would probably work, but we'd lose sender
time reject for blocked v4 address ranges that are specific to UKNOF,
and it's probably possible that somebody somewhere could come up with a
mail setup that was technically RFC compliant that would be confused /
drop mail / have issues.

Then we remembered the constituents of the UKNOF mailing list, decided
this was a certainty and relucantly allocated the lists VM an IPv4 address.

You'll be pleased to know, that the website, indico, wiki, url
redirector all now live on IPv6 only VMs.[*]

It's possible I might create a rant^H^H^H^H talk for a future UKNOF and
hand out some awards to some open-source projects for the highest
quality entrants in the 'IPv6 isn't happening, I can't hear you'
category.[**]

Pete

[*] If you're not pleased or merely indifferent, congratulations on
having more interesting things to do with your spare time than me.

[**] To give you an idea of the quality of some entries, there is at
least one piece of software that basically doesn't work if your machine
has an fe80:: link local address and the install guide recommends you
disable IPv6 entirely.

Test 1 got rejected by the new list server... So, just consider test 2
as the first test, honest :)
