Note that there are still some pretty big blocking SMB errors on Dell Precision
3400 series workstations.

I've been tinkering with 4.2 (argh.) Here are the problems I've found
so far (linuxboot):
- DHCP discover fails every time without "acpi=off" on Inspiron 5150
(B44).
- acpi=off required to resolve kernel panic on vmware workstation 4.51
- smbmount fails every time on all my test hardware

that works well... I'll only have the Dell Inspiron laptops available
for testing for another few days if anybody has any ideas of things to
try. It seems like the mail list traffic has significantly dropped off
in the last 6-9 months :(.
