This is a long known problem.  To my knowledge there isn't a solution except to use a 
dos boot disk.  Let us know if you discover something new.  It is most likely a bug 
with how dosemu works with the virtualized hardware.

If i start the linux cd iso image within a vmware (gsx server latest version) the dos 
emulator doesn´t work.. it is very slow, and then it stops working.

Any idea, what this could be?
