Is anyone using symbolic links to their Drivers folder in the OS folders?
I just tried it myself, but I'm concerned that some hardware may have separate drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I came across an INF file that said Windows 2000 only.
Do you think that generally Windows 2000 drivers will also be compatible with Windows XP? And also, If Windows 2000 doesn't support the hardware without a third-party driver, but Windows XP *DOES* have built-in drivers, would the Windows 2000 drivers override the built-in XP ones? (I would hope not, but dumber things have happened.)
