The application menu is not part of unity. It's a separate project[1],
and unity can be used without it (you can remove the indicator-appmenu
package and unity will still functional). That's why the appmenu source
code is not part of unity source code.

I go sudo apt-get source unity aaand the global menu source code is part
of the compiz source code!!!
Can you put all Unity source code in the Unity package?
