Yep, after the last film I saw there, I vowed never to go there again. It's
a shame, because otherwise it's such a nice theatre.
The last time we were there, someone lit up a marijuana cigarette inside the
theatre. Then about half an hour later 3 cops showed up during the movie and
arrested him

I dunno. Everyone says there is good pizza in UCity, but I haven't found it
yet.
Though I really like gourmet yuppie pizza (a la Pietro's and Lombardi's in
Center City), and that type of pizza hasn't really made it over to West
Philly, to my knowledge. I know there's a place called Rustic Pizz
I'm sorry, exactly *how* is this illegal, may I ask? What exactly is illegal

Well, as I said in the post that the problem I have personally w/the

Hah! Get this: Jannie Blackwell's office says that landscaping the lot would
be considered TRESPASSING, because it does not belong to Kyle. So instead,
the blight on the block that is that vacant lot has to sit there
undisturbed, lest Kyle get hauled into court by heaven-knows-who.

I am curious - how much of this discomfort with your immediate neighbors
do you actually share with them? Are they aware of how you feel? Do you
cc them on these complaints to the greater community? In all fairness,
you probably should.

Hi all,
Kyle and I are trying to find a way to become more active in the community,
especially regarding volunteerism. I know a lot of people on this list are
very active in the community in all sorts of ways, and I'm wondering if
anyone participates in/knows about Habitat for Humanity. I've be
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a good music school/string instrument teacher in
University City or Center City? I just recently bought a cello and I'd like
to take some lessons to learn how to play it (I played violin for some years
quite some time ago, but I do feel I need some refreshing).

I agree, it's rare to find a restaurant owner who cares at all. I'm excited

Hi all,
I am new to this list and new to University City in general (I spent the
bulk of my tenure in Philadelphia in Center City, excepting a brief stint in
northeast philly that I'd rather pretend never happened). I'm enjoying
