Actually this seems to be a bug in the musepack plugin, but figuring out
why it's crashed is going to pretty much be impossible without the file.

I have tried Intrepid Ibex with kernel 2.6.27-9 but the at76_usb driver
still freezes, however i have found a solution! :). It seems the 8.10
ships with 0.14beta1 at76 driver which is very old. The newer 0.17 works
really well on 8.10 with a patch, see link.

Update: I tried to do some debugging by attaching gdb to the
/usr/bin/Xorg but I didn't get anything useful with the backtrace. Since
X doesn't actually crash, I would need to find a reasonable breakpoint,
but I was unable to do so. Does anyone have any ideas?

Problem with viewing quicktime movies with Mozilla VLC plugin
I don't use kde myself so I'm not familiar with its interface but I
would suggest a google search for 'kde menu customization' or similar
