I Used Ubuntu Studio for about a year now, never had any problems.
Upgraded to U.S. 9.04 Getting random freeze ups. I can be on from a
minute to 30 minutes... then freeze up. I use an Intel board... LGA775
Socket set have GeForce 6200 LE, 2GiB RAM. Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz - HT.

Which driver does that webcam use? it seems it misreports the formats it
supports (as far as I can tell it advertises to support a continuous range of
resolutions, and that's quite unlikely, it should give a discrete list of
resolution/framerates)

So far, I have replaced to ubuntu 9.04 x86_32 with virtualbox (2.2.2) 32bit
from 7.10.
Also, I have replaced to Gnome from KDE as the default Window Management of
OS already too.
So,The same issue does not occur now.

Can't reproduce on Hardy, but get this bug after upgrade to Jaunty. Wine
last version and installed from their repo, but I think that it's a
cause of the problem. Google says that cause is some new code in XOrg,

Firefox 3.0 causes problems in Ubuntu 9.04.
No use removing flashplugin-nonfree and no use removing / re-installing
flashplugin-installer. When I try to open http://www.hema.nl/nl-
NL/nieuws/brochure.aspx it says that the necessary flash plugin is
found. But nothing happens. When I try to open http://folder.xenos.nl/
nothing happens either.

I can confirm this issue with Jaunty. Problem with special characters
could be easily solved by changing charset of template files in
/usr/share/vdradmin-am/template/default from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 and
changing charset of po-files to UTF-8.

Just tried the version in repositories of 9.10 and it seems to fix this
issue. The package seems to install fine to current 9.04 too.

I´ll give it a try on my other installation disk.
I must say that the kernel I´m running now, the one I took from kernel.org I
mean, is running like a champ, but never the less it is always healthy to try a
few other options too.

Ubuntu better. The logs that were uploaded to this bug report are both
for when you are using the VESA driver. Could you change the driver in
xorg.conf to intel and upload the resulting Xorg.0.log (even though it
crashes).

I confirm the bug here in a Vaio VGN-NR11Z/S. The bug was not present in Hardy
or Intrepid.
It is always reproducible, just open gmail and open a chat windows, try to
scroll.
This is my hardware. It may be another bug related to the Intel Graphic
drivers of Jaunty.

This was autosynced from Debian which doesn't seem to have this problem.
I suspect this is an issue with different versions of dependent
libraries.
Karmic has the later version but that has failed to build. (Bug
#379986).
