That's not exactly true. The current version in Ubuntu does have the following
improvements/changes over the one in Debian:

- no Build-Depends on erlang-os-mon,

I have now studied how postgresql is installed on Ubuntu, and found that
there are a number of commands not documented in the official PostgreSQL
documentation, among those: pg_createcluster, which is a wrapper for
initdb. When I found out how to use these commands, I was able to solve

Prism Ubuntu package works.

I think to have published a fix for this in version 1.1.91. Don't know
how to change it in the current version for Ubuntu Jaunty. Is there some
packager here responsible for such that things? The diff between 1.1.8
and 1.1.91 would help, specially for the translation.c file.

That's okay. I'm also not sure how to add crash reports to an existing
bug using apport (there is apport-collect, but it mainly collects logs
etc., not sure if it can upload crash

It seems that (in my Ubuntu Jaunty) running iostat -d -k -N -x -n 1
triggers the stack smashing protection:

same problem on karmic koala (9.10) AMD64 same fix , renamed
/usr/lib/googleearth/libssl.so.0.9.8 to
/usr/lib/googleearth/libssl.so.0.9.8.bak and GE starts and runs OK .

There are some changes I made:
* Debian disabled the ability to download plugins and ships them all as part of
the package for security reasons. So I updated the Ubuntu patch that renames
/usr/lib files to /usr/share to include the plugins and look in /usr/share for
them.

I don't know if it is the same thing but when I try to record, the red
line moves across to 1 second, maybe 2, and stops. I am new to Audacity
(and to Linux, in fact) and what puzzled me was that, when I used it for
the first time, 3 days ago, it worked fine - *.aup file, *.wav files
both created
The information looks just fine privacy wise. Unfortunately the
stacktrace itself is not very good (the lines with ??). If you could
install the package xserver-xorg-video-intel-dbg and repeat the
procedure, that package should have the necessary information to fill
the ?? with useful information.
