This error occurs to me since last night when I performed a update-
manager -d from jaunty to karmic. The problem remains when I delete the
applet and re-add it. sshmenu-gnome itself works fine when launched via
command-line.
Besides SSHMENU, the only other applet having this problem is

socket or something was conflicting, who knows. A little hard to

Same situation as velain: amd_64, ubuntu 9.04. Everything was fine on 8.10.
After upgrade notecase uses 100% CPU.
Workground resolved the problem but in my case use system language settings
was already unchecked and language form list was selected, so I checked that
option and it works fine
Further to tuxguitar-fluidsynth sound problems
Ubuntu Jaunty.
Tuxguitar using plugin tuxguitar-fluidsynth for sound playback with soundfonts
produces distortion, particularly with screen activity.
As an alternative I ran fluidsynth using the following command to load the
soundfont

On a different issue,
1 In karmic the background of the conky turns grey[random] , this does not
happen when i dual boot into jaunty and using the same .conkyrc
I ran conky from terminal ,but there is no error when this happens.
