Well, I have cairo-dock running GL version and VLC works flawlessly... If it is
a fresh install, you should update it.

Ben, have you tried to follow my instructions above yet? You should
definitely not need to mess with xorg.conf as these configuration
parameters are managed through HAL these days.

You can change the default interface that gets used when parameter -i
isn't present from the configuration file /etc/vnstat.conf by changing
the Interface setting. However, it seems that 1.6-1 doesn't install
any configuration file although such existed in the original upstream
install script.
Hi, can you try the latest stable version found at
https://edge.launchpad.net/me-tv the was a lot of work done in this area
in versions after that, that you are reporting against...
Also bugs filed against me-tv (Ubuntu) should only be for the versions
that are current in the release of Ubuntu,
