Java browser plug-in does not work

Ok, sorry for misunderstanding this: virtualbox-ose-modules is OK for
Hardy (the last kernel security update is 8 weeks old already).
And Pascal is right, it's a non-issue with later releases already.

Hi,
yes you can do so but the next update from the system is going to delete
your working installation. Therefore remove the check for updating the
libsane file in synaptic every time. I use the working version libsane
1.0.19-23ubuntu7 instead of the newest suggested version libsane
