The latest git ubuntu-dev-tools code includes support for verifying the
checksums of binary files downloaded with pull-lp-debs, pull-lp-ddebs,
pull-lp-udebs, as well as the other pull-uca-*, pull-debian-*, and pull-
ppa-*. Checksum verification is an important feature to
well ok, i see this was uploaded anyway...hope nobody was using python-
ubuntutools in bionic, and ever needs an update to that binary pkg :-/

Title:
python3-ubuntutools does not depend on
ubuntu-dev-tools in focal have py2 support removed, but bionic still
supports py2. Are you suggesting adding py2 support back in for the
bionic backport?

Hi @mapreri,
I hope you don't mind, but I went ahead and pushed the fixes for this
and the other 3 bugs mentioned in my last comment, and uploaded to
focal. Of course, please feel free to revert anything I uploaded if you
feel it's wrong. Note that for this bug I did use @cjwatson's commit.
