I don't think this is linux-rt related. There has been a fair bit going
on with the boot process lately, which could be upsetting things. I
suggest booting without the splash option on the kernel command line.
So, in grub, press shift to enable the ability to move up and down the
menu, then press

/speech-dispatcher, and set permissions to 755, with sudo chmod 755
/etc/init.d/speech-dispatcher. Then attempt to upgrade the packages.

Actually there is a difference. You probably copied the one I attached
over your old one before doign a diff. So just make sure the file I
attached is copied to /etc/init.d/speech-dispatcher, and attempt an

As a temporary work-around, you can edit /etc/default/speech-dispatcher
and set RUN_SPEECHD to no. Then run sudo apt-get -f install to fix
everything up, then change /etc/default/speech-dispatcher back to how it
was, i.e RUN_SPEECHD=yes and things should be ok.

The wav file in question is actually located in the python-speechd
package. The code that addresses the wav file however is incorrect.
Unfortunately this is not likely to qualify for a stable release update,

Tested dmraid from karmic with Robert's patch included on my ICH9
controller, and everything works fine.
My server has ICH10, since it was built last year, and likely has HPA
stuff I could enable, however I am not about to take it offline and plug
a pair of spare disks in to test unless there is

After talking with the bug filer on IRC, it turns out that dmraid arrays
are being used with LVM on top. This could be an issue in terms of
lvm/dmraid/udev/device-mapper interraction. Need to attempt to reproduce
