As discussed in IRC: karmic has 1.3 which FTBFS due to a change in the
more recent libbsd versions (which it links against), 1.41 works. It builds
from unmodified Debian sources just fine.

installations, it will correctly be removed on upgrade
* debian/rules: remove “-combine†option from Build.sh invocation
to work around a gcc bug (see LP: #375604)

Yeah, the mksh part is already “fixed” (workaround: mksh doesn’t use dietlibc
any more
on architectures where the latter is known to break). I couldn't unsubscribe
the sponsors,
but there was already a newer version of mksh uploaded with more fixes.

There is no dietlibc on lpia, which I understand is the same machine
architecture as i386 but optimised for low power consumption.
It should be possible to fool dietlibc into thinking lpia==i386, or even
