I have to correct myself; it only works if i move the cursor once with my mouse;
if I use the touchpad again, it doesn't work until i move the mouse

Today I installed the jaunty Beta and doesn't work with an Windows
Server and Jaunty as Client.
After fetching all the todays Updates (2009-03-28 10:45 CET) it works great.
So the error seems to be solved.

I had the same problem with:
Server: 1.3.1-4ubuntu2 (intrepid) (i386)
Client: 1.3.1-5ubuntu1 (jaunty) (x86_64)
I also tried it with 1.3.1-5ubuntu1 on both systems and 1.3.1-4ubuntu2
on both systems, with no change.
I upgraded the server to Jaunty, which means I'm currently running:

My earlier statement that Jaunty/Jaunty works correctly is incorrect.
On my laptop (HP Elitebook 8530w), I have a Synaptics touchpad as well
as a joystick.
If I touch the joystick *at all* Synergy will start working as expected.
I must have bumped the joystick during my last test.

I am currently experiencing the same problem with the following setup:
Server version: 1.3.1-4ubuntu2 (intrepid)
Client version: 1.3.1-5ubuntu1 (jaunty)
Debug2 behavior is exactly the same as well.
