OK, now I did this:
- insert the Win7 DVD
- open its icon that appeared on desktop
- check that window shows correct content
- close window
- check with 'df' in terminal that DVD is still mounted
- start : brasero --brasero-media-debug --debug brasero-debug_try4.txt
- in brasero click Butn

I also tried opening Places / Computer and the right clicking the DVD
icon (also labeled UDF Volume) and selecting Mount Volume. It is the
same: the DVD spins up, then the above error dialog appears.
So the Eject after burning option does not have any real use, as one
must eject the medium anyway
Another not: I opened the brasero burn dialog again, and saw that the free
space indication is wrong. It says 4.4GB free, but that can not be true. The
inserted DVD has the image of the karmic-desktop-i386.iso on it, which is 700
MB big.
So there is at most 4,5GB - 0,7 GB = 3,8 GB free on the

brasero --brasero-media-debug --debug brasero-debug.txt perform the
operation to reproduce the bug and attach the resulting file to the

Here I did the same, but started with a DVD video on the media and
overwrote it with Windows 7 CD.
Opening the media in nautilus results in correct content displayed,
except the label. It showed the label of the previous content (movie).
