Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Swap space is claimed, when I use memory intesive applications like
VmWare or Gimp with big pictures. It seems that the used swap space is
almost never freed again. That leads to an unusable slow system, when

That is not true.
a) see package 'menu' which comes with su-to-root, calling it with -X makes it
try to use gksu, kdesu, kde4su, ktsuss, sux and the built-in code, in that
order with the exception that under a KDE session, kdesu and kde4su are
prefered over gksu.

I have been unable to get audio applications working properly (in wine and
elsewhere) either with pasuspender or with pulseaudio purged.
Check to see if it's wine that's involved at all.
For instance, I purged pulseaudio and now linux's audacity does not work
properly.
I filed bug 369762 and
Same issue here, do we both have missed some subtlety?
I managed to change this with the gpg command without any kind of problem.
I'm in jaunty too, upgraded from… hum gutsy :-)
Strange that nobody else claims about that…

It's certainly a known issue that the openafs modules have to be built
by hand. The error from aklog is a bit non-intuitive, but if you try to
start or restart openafs-client, you should get an error message
pointing you at /usr/share/doc/openafs-client/README.modules. Did you
get that?
Another
could you try if that's still an issue in jaunty?

This is a small bug/annoyance in the Gnome print to file dialogue box
that appears in many programs. If I know my way around the code it
should also be a relatively easy fix too.
The width of the naming the filename for saving is simply too
