This is a short update on the wireless ad-hoc mode. As a temporary workaround I have created a service that runs at boot. This service configures the wireless interface to ad-hoc mode along with the other configuration parameters as specified in my previous post. This seems to be working fine

Solved! Running the command Code: # service squeezeboxserver status showed the missing module CGI::Cookie. I installed that via CPAN, but then other modules began to appear as missing so I gave up. Luckily for me using the excellent 'repo'

Thanks. I'll give that a go :) I get the impression that this is right on the borderline of what the Pi can do, especially with its shared USB/Ethernet bus. Are there any other low cost, small format devices which have been proven to run squeezelite nicely? Beaglebone Black?
