should do it, at least that's what the projectpage of pifm says. Maybe
you would like to use some more optios to squeezelite. squeezelite -h
will do the job.

I also have the problem of PiCorePlayer not restarting playback when it
was turned off. This used to work flawlessly with older versions 1.0X
but stopped somewhere around 1.12 or something. It does restart when the
