I try to localize my picore with locales but I do not find
getlocales.tcz nor can tweak the profile.
My installation use an LCD for song playing show.
The pylms is used and need to be localized in utf8.
Any advice will be welcome to explain how to install and use utf8 in
It "just works..." on Max2play, but on my PiCorePlayer, it just doesn't.
I was trying to get Tidal to play, as mysqueezebox.com had fallen over,
but it seems to have come back! However, I will try the LMS plugin -
though at the moment it just says "plugin failed to load" so I need to

piCorePlayer uses ntp during the boot process, so if the time is
displayed correctly in the bottom right

I don't think there is anything special to do. It just works when I test
it from my iPad or iPhone. I haven't tested a MacBook but can't imagine
a problem.

There was a bug in the wifi implementation on the Pi3s onboard wifi.
Crucially it blocked NTP. I thought it was fixed now and that pCp 3.0
had applied the fix. Perhaps not.

I know you can set it as a screen saver and it will appear after the
appropriate delay but the use case here is for a kids player that
displays on TV but has no local control and relies on a phone etc.
Jivelite solely as a now playing display.
