Thanks to Roland0 and Paul, I've been testing with sexpect and JSON.awk
and it's working fairly well for detecting a "newsong" event and
retrieving json playlist info. The operation of sexpect is pretty
confusing. Seems like there should be a way to clear the buffer after a
match and a way to

I gave this a try-out earlier this year and have to say I found it very
flaky.

Try making sure everything is working on ethernet cable before going to
wifi. It might be poor signal ??
Also try using pCP with LMS as the server and see if that makes a
difference.

Interestingly the boot time has dropped from 65 secs to 45 seconds
having changed the name.
