Yes, that is completely normal behavior to not load any files that are
not needed based on the current configuration.
If the boot process encounters a wpa_supplcant.conf. It enables WiFi,
copies the wpa_supplicant, Sets the WiFi extensions for load at boot,
then reboots.

I have not forgot about this. I did confirm there is a problem here.
Just not sure yet where it broke.
There were some under the hood changes between 7 and 9, but nothing
that would affect only you. You could post all the same info as you had
done before, but not expecting to see much.

Hello all, the magnificent pCp team
Today, I tried to change the name of my SSID because there was a "-" in
its name. Nothing has changed.
I have installed Volumio and the wifi is working fine. But I don't
really like it. In addition, it failed to start the LMS plugin. I'm
damned :).
There is
Thanks for the suggestions Paul - still no joy I'm afraid. I'll have a
bit of a read and see what I can find.

I think the Chinese employee who make this got lost in translation.
Try to hook the SDA or SCL to the MOSI SPI line. Then I would also
connect 3.3v to CE0 or CE1, and use the appropriate cs=0 or cs=1. I'm
pretty sure SPI and the drivers need the chip select option.
MISO line is not used

Well I don't really know enough to know the difference, but 'this one'
(https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QGQ1SR2) says '4-Wire SPI
Interface' in the description, and on the back of the PCB it says
Are you sure they are SPI?SDA and SDL are typically i2c signals.

I think the standard editor in Mint is xed. Maybe install Ghex and take
a look at a hex dump of the file to see if any

When you right click on a pCP file in the right pane of FileZilla, then
'View/Edit', that's effectively what it does too - it's not really an
'in place' edit. It downloads a copy, opens it in the editor, and then
prompts you to
