there are [plenty of helper apps to seamlessly attach a usb drive in
ubuntu these days. also during installation you are asked to identify
media drives (in desktop mode). in server mode. learn to edit the fstab.

I ended up copying the VU_Meter_Blue_Glow.tcz file to
mmt/mmcblk0p2/tce/optional/
Is the other way a better solution or am I o.k.?

Problem is solved. In squeezelite settings the close output setting was
set to 15 (default value after installation) , I corrected to 0. Now
everything works!
