Monitor the actual gpio states. Audiophonics is known for poor wiring
diagrams.

Sorry, for the cross-post (original here:

but I haven't received a response after 24 hours and I thought this may
be a better place to find some help with this issue...

Is there anything unusual in the kernel log? Are sure the power supply
is wired to the correct pins (both on the button and GPIO side)?

We don't load zeroconf/avahi by default on piCorePlayer following the
Tiny Core/piCore philosophy.
I can't remember the exact figures, but zeroconf/avahi needs a
significant number of dependencies which would have increased the size
of piCorePlayer significantly.
I suspect you need a mDNS/zeroconf service running in the network and
then pCP uses avahi to publish to it ... but I have not researched how
it all works.
I suspect it is my router running OpenWRT that is doing it for me.
It works for me so have not had to delve more deeply.

Does your PCP use DHCP? If your DHCP server is also your DNS then you
should be able to resolve your PCP host name as it should be registered
in your local namespace.

What do I have to set to make pCP visible by name on local network, for
example like .local? Right now I can only access it by its
IP number.

Ok, I did. Could not ping repo.picoreplayer.org, but I could ping the ip
address directly. So the DNS is not set properly. How (or where) do I
fix that?

Ssh into you device and make sure it can resolve addresses.

I have nothing that should prevent it.
Is your device allowed to get to the internet? These issues are mostly
caused by firewalls blocking, or a DNS server that does not resolve
repo.picoreplayer.org properly.

Hi everyone,
Apologies, I'm not sure if this is the right thread or if I should
create another one.
I'm trying to stream bluetooth from a Windows laptop to pCP (in other
words using pCP as a speaker. Not trying to stream to a web stream).
I've clicked discover in pCP and my Windows laptop was
Hi.
I run PiCorePlayer on a pi3b in a box with the Audiophonics power
management unit installed. After activating the button in the overlay
another button shows up:

When trying to install, I see this:

The led on the button has at least stopped blinking, but still I have to
hold

Yes, but I don't know the package name. You'd best report this as a bug
in the piCorePlayer issues thread (there is one for each major

I somehow made it work, but this "Shutdown Monitor" that is required,
does not install. Is there a way to install it via ssh?
