My question: Would it be possible to add the node-red server to
piCorePlayer? My Pi 3 seems to have enough headroom to make some calls
to IP-addresses...
I doubt it's possible. pCP really is a minimalist distribution, not
meant to offer the flexibility of a general Linux.
But that idea has co

Thanks P
Hi there,
in German magazine c't, I read about node-red. They implemented an
NFC-controlled player with ESP32 / ESP8266. See the article in German,
here: https://www.heise.de/select/ct/2020/25/2027910332294158572. It's
behind a paywall, but you will get the idea from the picture.

The LMS dsdplayer plugin was just updated to 1.07 which now includes
aarch64 helper binary. So that should take care of DSD on both 32 and
64bit platforms.

Ian,
Seems I forgot to include the UTF-8 file system kernel module in the
latest kernels.

Sorry about that

piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
piCorePlayer puts the rpi board in performance mode during boot, and
then at the tail end of boot, drops the board back to "ondemand" So if
you have a stressed power supply or weak cable, it completely makes
sense why it is only seen at boot.

Hey pCP7.0.0 beta guys,
We have updated the CLI "setup" command. It is still very basic, but
might be helpful for starting and stopping things when using the CLI.
Main reason for the update was, the wifi setup was broken due to the
advancements of the WEB GUI wifi software. It now uses the same

Although that's the same type of command that is used internally by the

executing it from a shell will only be temporary, and the value will not

I tried the 32-bit beta on my Pi 3B and IQaudIO DAC+ this morning.
Although it installed, Squeezelite fails to stay running.
I won't get back to the player until this evening to investigate
further.

I never used piCorePlayer Settings for this - did not even know they
exist.

I will look into changing the colour of the characters, to see if makes
any difference. I'm surprised that you find the minimum setting too
bright however - on setting 1 I find the display very dim, barely
visible in the daytime and comfortable at night.
My apologies if this is already obvious,

With usb I always used front: because this was what Triode referenced in
his early Squeezelite posts.
Then in pcp it was recommended the hw: sort of optimised (my
interpretation) the quality of the output.

So the pcp is player and server
The player is usb into the dac
The Touch is synced to the pcp (or is the p
I think I've fixed my unrecognised extended characters in LMS scan issue
but I'm not sure how.
I installed the util-linux-locales.tcz extension which I think also
installs util-linux.tcz and the scan started working properly.
However, when I removed the extensions and rebooted the pCp the scan

Hi
I'm interested in using piCorePlayer for integrating Airplay and
SpotifyConnect to my older active sound system.
Due to the fact that I have an active sound system, it would be cool, if
pCP can trigger my socket, where the sound system is plugged in. As a
trigger a http-request to my home aut
