on pCP slimserver (LMS) runs as user tc in group staff
If you login over ssh as user tc, can you see files in /mnt/LMSlib ?

pCP tries to avoid writing to "disk" ... so when you reboot you will
have lost the logs.
You could ssh into the device or connect a screen and keyboard and watch
for things going wrong
e.g. console output, dmesg, /var/log/pcp_bt.log and any other stuff you
can find

https because it was not built with the libraries - so ffmpeg did not

I do, but that is because I have a USB input device plugged in so that I

I just tried the same thing and it worked.
However, the progress bar/timer stays at 0:00 and the sound was very
very quiet ... I had to boost it a lot in the player.
So perhaps it was working but needed a big slide on the volume.

You are posting in the pCP 6.0 thread ... if that means that you are
running 6.0 then I think the first thing to suggest is to get pCP 7
running and see if you can repeat it there because if there is a pCP
fault then it is probably in pCP 7 that it would be resolved.
