I figured out how to copy the files over for custom clock and screen
switcher.
They both show installed under applets.
Screenswitcher is working.
Custom clock is now showing menu options,
Like
Extras >> custom clock
But clicking on an any custom clock menu does nothing.

Awhile back I had a similar question:

I think the key is unzipping the file while in the directory.

Sorry, perhaps someone else here who is more knowledgeable than me can
help.
@stereoptic
Thanks, but I think I followed the instructions and still nothing
I fired up an old touch and it sees all the custom clocks.
The picoreplayer does not

I am brand new to the picoreplayer and maybe I missed some steps.
If I install superdatetime plugin for example I see it in the extras
menu, but not as a screensaver.
I added custom clock helper, and I have the license manager from back in
the day, but it does not appear on the picoreplayer.
Im trying to follow your posts in multiple threads,
Is custom clock working on your screen? I would try their version of
custom clock from this post.

I only have
Code:
http://superdatetimewu.sourceforge.net/CC_JL_repo.xml
Should I have something else?
Is there a
license manager is not needed any more.
What sites do you have listed for addons on your plugin page.

I can install / reinstall custom clock and license manager. If I
reinstall everything and save to SD, it still won't show up when I
restart...

Did you load the RSS plug-in?

Shouldn't we be aple to see the screens in the screensaver section?
I can see them on LMS setup in custom clock helper (which seems to work
ok)
Do I need to redo my screens after updating server?
Marsupial's Profile:
I can install/reinstall custom clock and license manager from the applet
installer.
I then save to SD, reboot the pi.
But don't get the custom clock anywhere.
I do however have issue connecting to mysqueezebox, so license manager
may be unhappy. Maybe that's the issue?
Didn't Erland release
I "install" (or reinstall) custom clock, save config to SD, reboot the
pi, and don't get the custom clock anywhere. Unless I am missing
something in the config?
Every machines fail.
I cannot seem to reach mysqueezebox from LMS, so license manager fail,
could that be it?
Sure can. Where do you seem to be having problems?

Paul, do you know if we can still use Custom Clock on pCP with LMS 8.3
?
I seems to have lost capability to get this working when I updated
server.

Thanks a lot Paul for pointing me in the right direction.
Here's a thread that helped a lot.

make rss feeds to properly work for news, which would be even better.
As long as the weather.com supports your location.

With superDateTime, can I get Canadian weather ?

Weather for sure, but not sure about a news feed.
Need to look at the custom clock applet. and then Plugin: Custom
clock helper. SuperDateTime will do weather.
For pCP, the Custom Clock Applet will need to be manually installed. at
Code:
One of my piCorePlayer is pi3 w/ foundation touchscreen and always
powered.
It currently serves as clock when the player is "off"
Is there a way to get weather / news on this un powered state?
