You mean checking against accurip database (as rubyripper does multiple
reads and verifies they are the same)? Have you tried morituri?
I use Exact Audio Copy via Wine for ripping and Easytag and Kid3-qt for
tagging.
In the past I used Rubyripper and and good old grip/cdparanoia
sometimes, but I really miss the secure rip functions of EAC in those
programs.

I started ripping with abcde many years ago, and have found little
reason to stop. I rip to single file flacs with embedded data (cuesheet,

I use puddletag in Linux for my tags .

Have you looked at 'DeaDBeeF' (http://deadbeef.sourceforge.net/)? Very
similar to foobar2000 and actively developed; last update was last

Hi,
what tools do you use under tux for riping and tagging?
Most of my rips are taken from vinyl - so i am using 'Audacity'
(http://www.audacityteam.org/) to rip and the CD rips are done with
'Banshee' (http://banshee.fm/download/) i use banshee also to import my
files on my beloved 2nd Gen.
