Power Down Insert new SDcard with pCP3.20 Power up. Wifi should get setup automatically..you will need to reconfigure your sound though. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I do have access to the SD card, but in order to activate the RPi WiFi with the new version I would need to first hardwire it to my desktop computer, no? IIRC, it was somewhat difficult to get the WiFi network recognized by the pCP scan the first time round. merlinus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66548 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20
I am wondering if it is worth upgrading to 3.20, and if so, would it be best to flash a new SD card, or try the insitu upgrade using the instructions on the first page of this thread. I am aware that since I am using WiFi I would need to upgrade to the regular 3.20 version, not the audio one. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 2.00
Hi Sergiu Unfortunately this method doesn't work for me. The standard startup file is running this command: /usr/local/sbin/shairport-sync -a Squeeze2 -o alsa -S soxr -d -D -R -- -d hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry -c Digital But the command I actually want it to run is: /usr/local/sbin/shairport-sync -a Squeeze2 -o alsa -S soxr -d -D -R -- -d hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry So even if I change the mixer_control_name variable in the config file to something else (a null value, in this case), the hardcoded command line parameters are over-riding the config file - which is something you mention in your mail. Any ideas if I can over-ride or change the command line parameters? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] picoreplayer 3.11 +waveshare 3.5 TFT + jivelite + Raspberry Pi 2B+
I am pleased to confirm that I have managed to get this all working for piCorePlayer 3.20 and have modified and simplified the instructions. One caveat, jivelite has been extensively re-modelled and now no longer includes WQVGAsmallSkin, so I have retro-fitted it into my instructions along with my custom Wav35Skin - BUT wallpapers are not working and I don't have time to delve into it now. Hope this helps somebody ... Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Cirrus Logic Audio Card and Wolfson support in PCP 3.20
Great stuff M-H. Would be good if this could somehow become part of PiCorePlayer, to allow for really simple configuration.
