[SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezecenter using up all cpu time.
Hi, Since recently I have this issue that once a day or so squeezecenter is starting to use all available cpu time rendering the SB3 unusable because is does not respond anymore (actually it does but it takes forever). Afer manually restarting squeezeserver everything is back to normal, but after a while this issue repeats itself. I am running squeezecenter 7.2 stable on debian etch. I already removed squeezecenter and purged all files, then re-installed an reconfigured it from scratch, the problem does nog go away. Anyone any idea what might cause this? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Upgrading to 7.2
Hi So I added the line to my sources.list and then I used the command sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get --purge squeezecenter sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install squeezecenter I then restarted SqueezeCenter, but when I go to the web interface I get nothing. Looking at the server.log file I get the following, [08-09-17 14:39:58.1691] Slim::Schema::forceCommit (1485) Warning: Trying to commit transactions before DB is initialized! 2008-09-17 14:40:00 SqueezeCenter died. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Upgrading to 7.2
Code: sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor stop sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter restart Works for me. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Upgrading to 7.2
That seemed to work. But the only problem is that SqueezeCenter GUI is just really really slow. [SlimDevices: Unix] Problem w/ SC 7.2 RPM on 64-bit SUSE 11
Hoping Fletch sees this... I'm having a problem getting a plugin installed on 64-bit SUSE, the thread is here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52668 My initial thoughts were that Perl shouldn't care whether it's 32 or 64 bit, but then again maybe SC is looking in the wrong paths for plugins. -- CatBus CatBus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7461 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52738 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezecenter using up all cpu time.
Bug 9482 is 7.3 only and I have v. similar with new release of AlienBBC for 7.3 which also involves Transcoding. AlienBBC bug is being investigated. The OP problem is 7.2 and looks like an issue which does not involve playing any stream with transcoding. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52722 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Firewall (Firestarter) related problems - Ubuntu Hardy
have you tried to add the source ip address to the allow list. because it blocks all incoming by default. i have copied the default settings from the ubuntu firewall wiki (Completed: Hardy) The default firewall policy will be: 1. ACCEPT all on loopback 2. ACCEPT all outgoing 3. default policy of ACCEPT for incoming (configurable) 4. LOG all dropped packets (perhaps use --limit 3/min --limit-burst 10 or similar) 5. Firewall is disabled on installation on website: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuFirewall number 3 would state that it is going to block the incoming connection useless ip address assigned. -- terry_gardener terry_gardener's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52652 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
