I think the SvrPwrCtl plugin can do all this via WOL.

a recompile of the squeezebox server 7.4.1 debian package with
dependency on mysql-5.1
Did you replace the dependency or add a compatibility mode?

The debian mysql-server-5.1 package has a provides mysql-server-5.0. And
in this thread it was stated, that squeezeboxserver is compatible with
mysql-server-5.1. So i simply modified the package control file and
accept mysql-server-5.1
dpkg -I squeezeboxserver_7.4.1_all.deb|grep Depends
mysql-server-5.1. So i simply modified the package control file and
accept mysql-server-5.1
Would you mind sharing your modified file so we adapt the official release?

if you want to adapt to official package, you only need to modify one
line. I needed some more to add changelog, remove firmware, add download
script, use my signature...

Cool.
To catch-up on what snarlydwarf said, I concur about dnsmasq. It is a
great package, tiny and featureful. It does have a dns-dhcp dynamic
mapping, so
I tried the suggestion of changing to the testing repository, and
upgraded (now at 7.4.2 - r2975), then switching the repository back to
stable. I'd just like to confirm that it was a helpful suggestion as I
no longer get the dependency error messages and everything seems to be
working fine so

Embedded vs Full install will there be any difference in operational

Haven't looked at FreeNas in a little while, I may be wrong but I think
full means you have a full(er) environment, e.g. you can actually
compile a program.
Embedded is stripped-down to the bone to have the lowest footprint.
I believe both will use a ram disk to avoid writing to the CF card, so
Thanks for the reply raven22
I do not see this plugin listed and a google search for it comes up
blank.
Is it a squeezeboxserver plugin?
