If it was in 8.0.0, then your fine wih 8.1.0.

If you had to build for 8.0.0, then build it before you upgrade.

2021-12-10 Thread jasc

Thank you all for the replies - they gave me the confidence to go for
it, but not before backing up the whole card, of course. ;)

I performed an 8.0.0 > 8.1.0 Insitu update on my 3 partition setup and
am happy to report that it worked without a hitch.

It appears that all my pCP settings survived, as did the partition
scheme, as did the LMS data on partition 3.

The screenshot below showing the partitions is from after the update to
8.1.0, and you can see that Labels, LBA Start, LBA End, Size are
identical to before the update (see my previous post).

Thanks as always for this stellar piece of software!

Best regards,
jasc

[SlimDevices: Unix] JiveLite not displaying with piCorePlayer 8.1.0 on Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W

2021-12-10 Thread tallpaul

Hi folks

I've just upgraded my HiFi stack Pi to use a Pi Zero 2 W and the latest
piCorePlayer. The good news is that this works a treat on the while in
that I'm getting audio via HDMI and I can see JiveLite start as I get
the splash screen ... but thereafter the TV is blank.

If I ssh into the pi I can see that the jivelite process is running.

Noting 'Ralph's README'
(https://github.com/ralph-irving/tcz-jivelite#readme) for JiveLite which
says:

-
You need a keyboard to configure JiveLite initially and either
a composite or hdmi monitor connected.-
... I plugged in a keyboard and it looks like JiveLite can see it as
pressing stops and starts the music.

So I think I'm _almost_ there I think, but there's clearly a step I'm
missing.

Here's my current JiveLite settings:

36401

Can anyone suggest what step I may have missed?

TIA

[SlimDevices: Unix] LMS will not update in pCP.

2021-12-10 Thread judojimmie

I cannot find a solution to this anywhere else, if this has already been
covered please redirect me. I am capable of following a tutorial but
have limited ability with Linux commands so I have not been able to
problem solve this on my own. I keep getting the following message when
I try to update the local Logitech Media Server.

Done Updating Files. The files are ready to be packed into the
new extension

Press Enter to continue, or Ctrl-c to exit
Creating extension, it may take a while ... especially on rpi
0/A/B/A+/B+
mksquashfs: error while loading shared libraries: liblzma.so.5: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
Building Extension FAILED.. exiting!

It then redirects me to the LMS page.

I can get around it by doing a full update of pCP but it is annoying to
do and messes up my online music integration every time.

If it helps piCorePlayer v8.1.0 | www v00017 | linux 5.10.77-pcpCore-v8
(64) | piCore v13.1 | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1391-pCP. It is a Raspberry Pi
4.

Anyone know the fix.

Thanks,

Jimmie

Nothing is done to the third partition as a part of the update process.
But I've seen cards that are on their last legs crash during an

Hi jasc,

The message is really just a warning that "anything may happen" and make
you think about your current backup strategy.

While I have done lots of pCP8.0.0 to pCP8.1.0 Insitu updates with the
normal 2 partitions in testing, I can't remember doing pCP8.0.0 to
pCP8.1.0 Insitu update with the 3 partitions!

Depending on how valuable the data on your DATA partition is, will
determine if to worth the risk without a good backup.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Retro / Blaupunkt Digita 24 / squeezelite / LCD / IR control

2021-12-10 Thread droidbox

Hello.
My english translation coming soon!

36390

Und hier die erste Modifikation.

36391

Alles weitere folgt nach und nach.
