I should have emphasized that nothing had changed physically, going from
great performance to bad stuttering. Nothing moved, no new hardware to
interfere. The only changes were

Yes. But nothing has changed since it was working well a few days ago.
I'll rearrange some stuff.
Thanks.

As the signature says wifi is off, running wired only.

I had things working well until recently. Now playing to a BT speaker
(UE BOOM 2), the audio stutters on a repeated pattern. Flawless for
15-20 seconds, then broken up for 15-20 seconds, then flawless for 15-20
seconds, broken, and repeat. It happens for both internet radio and
locally stored
The LMS is running on a Pi3B+. All the hardware is within feet of the
others. Or did I misunderstand your question?

I'm making negative progress. I had been running the latest pCP for a
while with occasional glitches.
Now with a fresh build, I have run into 2 issues. First, LMS does not
show my BT connected BOOM2 speaker as a player. While futzing with that,
after a reboot or 2, now Squeezelite is not

Thanks. I turned off wifi as a wired connection is available. Now all is
well.

Grasping at straws here. I have a Pi 3B+ which I had used with pCP 5.0
reasonably successfully with a UE BOOM 2 speaker.
Now with 6.0 I find that the speaker cuts out, presumably from weak
signal, in places it worked very well before.
Is it possible the BT power is lower in 6?
All else here

Yes.
Thanks to all who replied. I will pursue tomorrow.

I apologize if this is too naive, or the wrong place to ask.
I am using PiCorePlayer 5.01 on a Pi 3B+, with BT and LMS, a UE Boom 2
speaker, and a Logitech Audio Adapter which feeds a stereo.
Ideally I'd like the Pi to serve up audio to either or both devices
without needing to switch them.
