Thanks for the feedback.
If you select "avahi.tcz" then press the [Info] button on the
[Extensions] page, scroll down and you will see all the dependencies
(about 15 :eek:).

True - but I think only about 5 installed during the process. I presume
the rest were already there.
I'm not suggesting including it as default but easy enough to do for
those that want it.

I have now 2 piCorePlayers at home, both using raspberry pi zero and I2S
DAC, everything runs great.
I have until now 2 things that I haven't found anything about:
1. the Power GPIO works with player status. when music is

as well ... and while avahi is not included in the base pCP, it can be
