With the current piCorePlayer the functionality to configure the mount
of the CIFS drive is included in the web UI.
It is in the LMS section - but you need to click "Beta" at the bottom to
have it presented.
So - my guess is that your change was overwritten or not saved back.

It works very well as LMS server. You might find that a complete media
scan, with a big library, is slow but I doubt that this would be an
issue.
You should allow for the USB disk to be powered by its own supply.

There is a build of Squeezelite with a Squeezeslave GUI built in - I
have it running on a 2 line LCD on my Turtlebeach Audiotron.
I know it is not JiveLite but another way to get similar results.
It is based on an old Squeezelite though.

FYI piCorePlayer 3.20 is out now and 3.x has been around for a long time
- so you might want to try a new SD card with that and see if it
resolves your problems as I doubt that pCP 2 will be getting significant
attention.

Good idea.
I have a Pi with touchscreen in the original case which does leak red
light out to the side.
It did not matter before but I recently moved it to be connected to the
turntable in another room ... and there the light was annoying.
This resolved that.

Also - are you using the RPi internal wifi?

Don't delete the guest network until "the player is fixed".
i.e. run both networks.
When player is fixed you can edit the SSID in the player and connect
back to the original one and finally delete the guest network.

I suggest triple checking the wiring - and make sure that the LCD still
works by putting it back on the other Pi (just in case something broke

then variations in real SD sizes should not result in a warning when
copying partitions.
I modified the xtras_resize.cgi to support 1B and it seemed to work

My guess, and only a guess because I did not find the manual covering
it, is that you could use other tools / tooling to configure it and then
copy some files over, include them in the pCP backup and then invoke
that configuration it from command line in pCP.

A day or so later I spotted an SB2 flashing briefly with connection
error once a minute.
Later I saw this comment and when through the steps above ... and have
not seen it flash since.
