Hi,
Scott James Remnant:
There's future plans for a possible watershed variety on this.
Hmm. How would you feed multiple events to such a process? Via stdin?
(The other direction would probably be initctl's job.)

Wrt. working out prerequisite mounts, it would probably be nice to
integrate that functionality into getmntent, so rather than having that
loop, you could do something like
getmntent --prerequisites /home
That makes sense.

have a problem with a *system dbus instance* on the server.
IMHO there's no point in writing a separate client/server system for
this -- you might just as well re-use the libraries dbus already offers.

simple as you'd think (well ... isn't that a surprise ;-) which
demonstrates that an expressive IPC protocol is a Good Thing,
ultimately.

Hi,
Scott James Remnant:
* The started event is no longer emitted if the pre-stop
script restarts the job, since the stopping event was
never emitted.
Is there any notification at all, when that happens?

That's at least a posixly-clean solution.

Depends where the discussion happens. My wiki implementation will have a

You also can file-attach an IRC log.
