*Project or Assignment Overview*

Master data management implementation.The Business Systems Analyst- BPM is
responsible for providing Techo/Functional support to the business.
Requires a strong self-motivated and experienced hands-on IBM BPM experiene
with project implementations using IBM BPM.Must be a subject matter expert
in IBM BPM tool and Java/J2EE environments with Oracle, DB2 or other
supported backend database technologies.



*The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for:*

·         Working with business groups and IT delivery teams to understand
business needs and design solutions that address Grainger E-Commerce
business problems to maximize value to Grainger customers.

·         Serving as Liaison with Product Management and IT Technical Team.

·         Contributing to the successful delivery of Business Systems
solutions by establishing relationships with peers in multiple groups,
learning and understanding how these business organizations operate and
working closely with these groups to understand business challenges

·         Working collaboratively with E-Commerce Product Team, IT Delivery
team resources and business representatives to design solutions which both
address the challenges and improve business processes overall.

·         The overall health and quality of the application.

·         Encompasses all duties and responsibilities of a Business Systems
Analyst

·         Facilitate meetings to define the scope and business requirements
for the change being requested and supports and drives cross-functional
impact assessment discussions.

·         Create documentation to represent the business requirements,
processes and system functionality.

·         Partner with product managers and user experience to prototype
and brainstorm at the epic level, along with completing high quality story
designs.

·         Coordinate with the User Experience team to define when User
Experience work is needed and how performing this work fits into the
overall project schedule for both near term and long term functionality.

·         Facilitates and ensures resolution for project defects.

·         Organize swat sessions when necessary with development team for
resolution of critical defects or production issues in order for a quick
resolution, regardless of ownership of issue

·         Facilitates project communications between development team and
business when appropriate.

·         Ensures that all automated scripts used to perform daily testing
reflect new functionality being introduced by the change / project.

·         Participates (or delegate participation to team members) in any
ERP change management processes.

·         Participates in User Experience testing with customers if
applicable to defining requirements or scope.

·         The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring there are no
gaps in expectations, communications, and environment set up, and shall act
as the main point of contact for external vendors.

·         A Senior BSA will ensure proper handoffs and/or knowledge
transfer of deliverables, wiki, process improvements, etc. to other team
members (BSAs, QA, App. support), in addition to providing direction on
scope of test automation at the end of the project cycle or release.

·         Peer review approaches, designs, supporting documentation, etc.
and help provide guidance to the BSAs



*Position Requirements*

Successful candidates will possess:

·         6-8 years or equivalent experience gathering software
requirements by interviewing users, conducting focus groups, creating
requirements documents, and developing prototypes.

·         *Experience with IBM IIS, IBM MDM products or equivalent master
data management solution.*

·         Project experience with SCRUM, or related agile project
management methodologies.

·         Demonstrates an understanding and capability of using SQL and
other data extraction, reporting and analytic tools to develop, test,
monitor and troubleshoot systems related issues.

·         Ability to produce detailed, comprehensive software
documentation, such as requirements specs, design docs, and change logs.

·         Ability to proactively identify problems with recommended
solutions and supporting analysis in place.

·         Experience with driving technical requirements based on the
business requirements in addition to partnering on business requirements
creation

·         Ability to Influence the design and deliverables of projects that
are cross functional and large scale

·         Must possess the ability to work in a highly collaborative team
consisting of both technical and business members where functionality is
designed and released on a bi-weekly basis

·         Must have a proactive, results oriented attitude, leads by the
example of serving others, with a superb work ethic and the flexibility to
work within an environment of constant change.

·         Can facilitate and organize meetings including cross-functional
design workshops, gap analysis and detailed story design sessions.

·         Ability to present complex technical information to a
non-technical audience, with the ability to provide the appropriate level
of detail to all levels of the organization (VPs, leadership team,
business, etc.).

·         Viewed as a SME when it comes to the transfer of business and
application knowledge via knowledge transition sessions, demos and detailed
walk throughs.Helps others to understand technical problems and business
issues.

·         Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Pursues learning beyond scope of current assignments

  *Requirements*

   - At least 3 years of hands on development experience on the IBM BPM
   Suite



   - Proven and demonstrable experience in the areas of process discovery
   and optimization, requirements management and solution architecture and
   design (that focused on BPM and SOA)



   - Must be familiar and comfortable in the domains of process modeling,
   process monitoring, business rules and business event based technologies
   and be able to lead teams in developing end to end BPM solutions



   - At least two to three project implementations that leverage the full
   capabilities of the IBM BPM Suite.



   - Expertise in the engineering and operational aspects of the IBM BPM
   technology stack (Process Manager V7/V8, Process Center V7/V8, Process
   Server V6/V7, Business Monitor V7/V8)



   - Strong hands on experience administering and configuring one or more
   products in the IBM BPM technology stack.
