Location: Metro Service Center - Tower 100 Desired Start Date: 9/14/2009 Estimated End Date: 12/31/2009 Number of Positions: 1 *Candidates submitted with rates at or below the Target Rate will be given priority in the evaluation process over candidates submitted above the Target Rate. * *No candidate will be accepted above the Maximum Rate.* *DESCRIPTION:* With limited guidance and coaching, identify the components required for the technical design and development within the impacted systems (i.e.User requirements, Functional designs, detail designs, test strategies and test grids and cases, etc.) *REQUIREMENTS:* · Provide mentoring on technical and application enhancements and issues where applicable. · Ability to provide training and guidance on all components with the systems development life cycle. · Understand complex and advance technical techniques. · Consult with the functional business areas regarding the refinement of business requirements and business and designing or determining the technical solution · Develop scenarios, test cases and sequences of testing events specifically addressing the business requirements. · Determine programs, jobs and systems to execute for defined system updates. · Acts as a project team member, providing expertise on the technical needs of the technical area. · Creates technical development plans, scenarios, test cases, and test data · Responsible and accountable for driving the development plans through the QR process. · Responsible and accountable for the execution of the approved development plans. · Required to document all test results within the agreed upon time-frames outlined by the project work plan. · Provide pro-active consultation on the development plans and schedules to optimize the overall development effort. · Role will require support on weekends and after core business hours *EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:* · 10+ years Analyzing and functional and detail design components for a major application in an environment similar to BCBSM. · 10+ years experience performing and developing documentation under a formal IT QA methodology. · 10+ years experience in a mainframe environment · 10+ years experience and strong knowledge of COBOL, IMS, DB2 and other mainframe tools. · 10+ years experience in and online IMS DC · 10+ years in the development and maintenance of business applications · Experience in a distributed environment is a plus. · 5+ years experience with systems or operational area. · Demonstrated experience using industry standard tools for mainframe and distributed environments. · Demonstrated ability to perform triage functions for identification of defects. · Ability to understand requirements and impacts of requirements on existing technical system components. · Ability to extend knowledge of technology to new or changed system areas. · Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving system and operational problems identified during the testing process (such as use of Strobe). · Works effectively, efficiently with team members · Communicates effectively (concise, appropriate to audience, specifically) both orally and via the written word · Ability to keep abreast on new technology and techniques. · Does not require high degree of leadership direction · Self motivated and can work independently · Ability to communicate at all staff levels within the project. -- Thanks & Regards Kevin Maripax Solutions | ke...@maripax.com www.Maripax.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
