Position: System Analyst Location: Austin, TX Duration: 10 months + Client: TWC/ State of TX The services of the Worker(s) will include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Analysis of existing system and infrastructure; B. Analysis of existing functionality with consideration for usability and efficiency C. Collaborate across teams to refine technical framework D. Perform Gap Analysis for proposed technical framework and propose solutions for addressing gaps E. Lead or participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and provide technical input on feasibility of designs F. Design/Develop prototypes/solutions based on defined development standards G. Other duties as assigned. Perform complex business and systems analysis work. Uses standardized project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to address project needs. Conducts joint information gathering and application design sessions with customers and technical staff to define business requirements, business process models and data models. Communicate effectively with users to determine requirements of new processes and applications or modifications to existing processes and applications. Prepares and updates complex preliminary and detailed design documentation. Prepare process models, data models, flowcharts, user stories, swimlane diagrams and other documentation for present and proposed business processes and automated systems to verify design logic and processes. Reviews documentation and performs quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with program documentation and procedural standards for the assigned project. Assists in the diagnosis of problems associated with automated applications and writes detailed specifications for developing or correcting software for handling complex processes to improve system performance and/or accuracy, and may also include training, presentations, or system demonstrations. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements:: Years Skills/Experience 8 Performing complex business and systems analysis work 5 Analyzing and documenting complex data and reporting requirements and system interfaces. 5 Conducting joint information gathering and application design sessions with customers and Information Technology staff to define and document business requirements, business process models and data models. Preferred: Years Skills/Experience 2 Experience working in Mainframe.
