Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* EMBEDDED Engineer *Project Location* PA-Pennsylvania/Kings Of Prussia *Duration* 6 Months/contract MOI: Telephonic + skype *Position Description:* Applies technical expertise to the development of an automated test application and defines test strategies for validating a complex software defined radio system. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in architecting, designing and testing application software that provides an interface to an operator while controlling numerous pieces of test equipment, monitoring the results of units under test and archiving those results into a Sequel database. *Responsibilities: * Well-rounded automation engineer sought to contribute to the software and hardware development of Client’s hardware production test suite. *Requirements:* BSEE or equivalent degree. 5+ years of experience in developing software and hardware solutions to qualify hardware during the production test portion of the manufacturing cycle. Familiar with hardware development and bring up of new hardware design. *Skills:* Strong VB and C# programming skills. Must have Sequel database experience and familiarity with interfacing to a database from within VB and C# applications. Proficient in the use and remote control of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and function generators. Strong problem solving and analytic skills in embedded systems. Experience with low-level hardware/firmware development and debugging. Organized and disciplined developer – self-motivated. Recognizes the importance of good development processes and embraces them. Effective oral and written communication. Scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell) experience is desired. *Primary Duties:* Hands on technical contributor of software applications that controls and monitors our suite of production test equipment. Collaboration with other engineers throughout the Development cycle. Effective at identifying and resolving complex technical test issues and own driving these issues to closure. Define and write design documents and contribute to the definition of sprints associated with new feature development. Regularly participate in technical reviews. Provide regular status and progress towards milestones with program leaders.
