Job Title: Web Developer Work Location: GA - Alpharetta Duration: Long Term NEED LOCALS ONLY Explanation for Position: Lead Technical Specialist with proven experience developing web UI Code will be a key contributor to a development team using both agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate. The goals of the assignment are in three areas – 1. Develop Ajax-based single page applications for UPS.com 2. Create UI Code for Client's site using HP TeamSite/LiveSite 3. Design/Develop a UI for an internal Marketing application. Seeking a developer with 5+ years of web UI development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Must have 2+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, and common JavaScript libraries such as JQuery. Must have 2+ years of experience with Ajax, JSON and XSL transformation. HP TeamSite/LiveSite experience is a plus. Java JEE development experience is a plus. Details of Position: · The Lead Technical Specialist leads, performs and supports full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding,testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She leads or collaborates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. Develops, maintains, and provides 24x7 support as needed (problem log research, root cause analysis, impact) for applications. · Requires a solid ability to troubleshoot and debug; must be resourceful. Management Skills: · A bachelor degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience is required. Occasional weekend work required. · Must be able to lead efforts for 3-4 team members, self-manage, contribute to a plan, complete tasks on time, report status accurately and raise issues in a timely manner. · Must have strong communication written and verbal communication skills. · Must work well as part of a team.
