*1. Primary responsibilities are to configure/administer servers and
server-security in a mission critical environment. This includes servers,
operational components, patch management, hardware and software upgrades,
capacity planning; security, and disk allocation. 2. The Systems
Administrator is responsible for ensuring successful tape backups of system
data and auditing of those backups. Participates in disaster recovery (DR)
exercises and creates DR procedures in line with the DR recovery worldwide
standards. 3. Provide prompt analysis and resolution of systems, network
and equipment problems. Liaise with IS technical / application development
groups and or consultants on problem resolution, system upgrades and
integration. May act as Technical Project Lead. 4. As a senior member of
the team, mentor and provide technical and administrative guidance to the
Client Administrators and other Systems Administrators as needed. 5.
Document and maintain up-to-date systems procedures, systems installation
check list and contingency plans. 6. Works in accordance with the change
control procedures and ensures compliance of change control and any other
IS procedure or work instruction that ensures compliance to IS policy and
ISO. Establish and recommend policies on system use and services. 7.
Provide emergency after hours support for mission critical systems as
required. Perform system upgrades / maintenance after hours as required. 8.
Provides records and data on specific performance/availability concerns as
basis for problem identification/resolution and management reporting. 9.
Maintains user security and overall system data integrity. 10. Participates
in technical team meetings and provide updates to the world wide team as
needed. 11. Uses helpdesk software to manage support cases assigned. 12.
Tracks all time in accordance with IS policy. 13. Provides regular status
reporting (verbal and written). 14. Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific Experience: ? 7-9 years hands-on experience and in depth knowledge
of Microsoft Windows OS ? Wintel Certification (MCSE0 is desirable ? A
solid understanding of an operating system; inter-process communications,
device drivers, Disk management concepts and can use performance analysis
to tune systems. ? Ability to program in an administrative language
(Powershell) ? DNS DHCP implementation and administration ? Ability to
solve problems quickly and automate processes. ? Good understanding of ESXi
and VMware environment ? Independent problem-solving, self-direction ?
Provide off-hour support as needed. ? Must have the following skills: ?
TCP/IP and networking technologies ? Systems security ? Systems management
? OS Patching*
