*Job Title: IT Forensics Investigator* *Location: San Ramon, CA* *Duration : 6 months* *Required Qualifications: * 2-5 years in computer forensics and technical investigations. Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the following fields: Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or Computer Science. (A combination of an AA degree and a minimum of 3 years of Forensics experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree). Ability to understand Data Privacy laws and maintain confidentiality is critical. Must thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, where every hour is prioritized, by increasing demands. Must be able to manage multiple projects under the rigors of a computer forensics lab. Having the ability to multi-task is critical. Must be very detail-oriented, and must be able to interact with other staff and clients, in person or by phone. Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to endure long working hours is vital. Demonstrated experience of managing day to day aspects of client relationships, as well as forensic cases and corporate incidents is a must. Ability to work extremely well under pressure while maintaining a professional image and approach with clients is critical. IT Infrastructure Proficiency with the following: MS operating system, PC hardware & networking, MS Outlook & Exchange Messaging, and various other technologies. Experience in building and implementing standard operating procedures and processes pertaining to IT Security. Forensic experience in the following areas: conduct acquisitions; single and complex, forensically preserving the evidence, conduct artifacts analysis using forensics tools, and having the ability to write comprehensive findings reports. Awareness of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures and Federal Rules of Evidence. Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to interface with other parts of the organization such as global security including external security consultants and Law, internal and external counsels. *Preferred Qualifications: * Possession of professional certifications and membership in professional associations is highly desirable. CFCE, CCE, ENCE, ACE or ENCEP desired. Corporate security, corporate litigation, cyberspace investigation background desired. Strong background in forensic lab practices and procedures and evidence handling. Experience in law enforcement, basic investigations or with a professional services firm is preferred.
