Responsibilities include assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of databases; assisting in identifying, defining, and implementing database security and business continuity solutions; performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting. This role will align with the Airport Operations or Enterprise Shared Services portfolios to deliver best-in-class databases to achieve business goals. Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases (production and non-production), translate logical data models into physical designs. Assist in optimizing the database environment with respect to data access methods, data integrity, system performance and system availability; ensure detailed physical design of data structures and databases comply with enterprise standards, guidelines, procedures, and processes and are successfully implemented. Monitor query performance and provide recommendations for enhancements and implement configuration changes; develop and implement database backup and recovery plans and procedures; keep abreast of industry and technology trends.
