Ex-AIG experience is highly desired.* *Project Name: Risk Consolidation Project* The Risk Consolidation project is related to the merger of the Risk Specialists agencies into a single entity and eliminate reporting redundancies that exist within the current structure. The targeted merger date is 6/30/2015. *The Business Analyst will be actively involved in* a) interacting with the business to understand requirements and its impact on various Underwriting and financial applications. b) creating the various artifacts that are required to secure funding and remain compliant once the project is on-going. c) attending weekly status meetings and providing related updates on status of various impacted applications. *Skills and Qualifications* 1) Responsible for serving as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses an understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. 2) Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. May act as change management agent. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 6+ years of relevant technical or business work experience. 3) Preferably someone who has worked in AIG and was involved in the process of creating artifacts and supporting documents in obtaining funding. 4) Must possess good communication skills and should be proactive.
